This technology allows the replacement of
an existing pipe made of already damaged or non performing materials
(steel, cast iron, gres, cement, cement-asbestos, PVC) by insertion,
from the starting point to the arrival point, of a hydraulically
actuated rods system, which are fastened to a sharp tool (conical ogive)
that breaks up the existing pipe by compressing the fragments and
simultaneously inserting the new pipe, which is then inserted into the
existing pipe.
This type of technology allows to increase the diameter
of the pipe that is replaced: the order of magnitude is a max increase
of one diameter.
The technology allows the execution of an averages of 80 - 150 m and
is mainly used for the renewal of water and sewage networks. |
